About Seris
Seris is an open-source desktop AI trading assistant for market research and local backtests. It puts a chat with an AI agent next to live charts for crypto, stocks, ETFs, commodities, FX and indices, with the model you choose.
What Seris does
Ask about a market move next to its chart, follow instruments in a watchlist, set price alerts, and turn an idea into a reviewed TypeScript strategy that you backtest on historical Binance candles. Seris runs as a desktop app on Macs with Apple Silicon, and the interface is in English and Chinese.
Principles
- Open source. Project-owned code and public documentation are licensed under Apache-2.0, and the source is on GitHub.
- Bring your own model. Use a cloud provider, a compatible endpoint, or local models through Ollama or LM Studio.
- Local-first. Conversations, watchlists, strategies and backtest results stay on your machine, and API keys stay in the operating system credential store.
- Named data sources. Market data comes from Hyperliquid, Hyperliquid xyz, Binance and Longbridge, and missing data is shown as missing.
Brand
The Seris name and logo are covered by separate brand terms; dependencies keep their own licenses.
